Anna Murphy and Diego Caixeta Win The Traitors Ireland Series 2

Anna Murphy from Dublin and Diego Caixeta from Co. Cork won the second series of The Traitors Ireland on Tuesday 22 September as Faithfuls, splitting the €45,850 prize pot for €22,925 each. The last two Traitors, Pauric O'Meara and Carla Geary, were banished in the final at Slane Castle, Pauric last of all at the Fire Pit.

How did the series 2 final play out?

Twenty-three players walked into Slane Castle when the series began on Sunday 30 August. Twelve episodes later, the final went out on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player, with Siobhán McSweeney hosting for a second year.

The Faithfuls had been closing in for days. Diego used a dagger at the final Round Table, and after Pauric was banished at the Fire Pit, Anna and Diego each revealed they had been Faithful from the start.

Diego had come into the game with his husband, Denis, and the two kept their 11-year marriage from everyone else in the castle. The Traitors murdered Denis partway through, which left Diego to play on alone. Speaking on the companion show Uncloaked after the final, he said it was the banishment of Pete that finally convinced him Pauric was a Traitor.

Anna told RTÉ she hadn't expected to survive the first week. She made it to the last night instead, and she walks away with the same €22,925 as Diego.

The first series ended on Tuesday 23 September 2025, also at Slane Castle. Kelley, Oyin and Vanessa were Faithfuls all the way through and played as a trio. The last Traitors that year, Nick O'Loughlin and Ben Donohue, were caught out at the closing Round Table. That series started with 24 players, one more than this year.

So both finals so far have ended with the money going to Faithfuls only. RTÉ's coverage didn't give home counties for the three series 1 winners, and we've left that cell as it is rather than guess.

Will there be a series 3?

RTÉ announced a third series on the morning after the final. It hasn't given a start date, a filming period or a closing date for applications, so treat any date you see elsewhere as unconfirmed for now.

For what it's worth, both series so far launched at the end of August: on Sunday 31 August 2025 and on Sunday 30 August 2026. That's a past pattern, not an announcement.

Where can you watch it again?

Both Irish series went out on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player. RTÉ hasn't said how long series 2 will stay on the Player, so if you missed the last few episodes it makes sense not to wait too long.

RTÉ Player also carries The Traitors UK and The Traitors US; RTÉ added new runs of both in June.
