Watch Ireland On Air answers the question Irish viewers ask about British and Irish TV: which channel is it on here, and when? We map the big British shows to the Irish channel that actually carries them — Virgin Media One, Two, Three and Four, RTÉ One and RTÉ2 — note where the Irish slot matches the UK and where Ireland gets extra airings or repeats, point to the Irish catch-up service instead of UK-only apps, and keep a running record of the winners of Ireland's own competitions. Schedules are checked against the broadcasters' own TV guides and public listings; soap previews are summarised only from the broadcasters' official episode previews, and we do not use screen captures. UK air dates and series and episode numbers come from TVmaze listings data.

Editorial standards

Watch Ireland On Air is put together under editorial rules that check which channel carries a programme in Ireland, when it airs and whether an airing is new or a repeat against at least two sources before publishing: the broadcasters' own TV guides and press material, public listings and established outlets, all listed at the end of each post. When the sources do not settle a detail, the post says so instead of guessing. We don't publish leaked storylines or use broadcast screen captures: soap previews are summarised only from the broadcasters' official episode previews, and images are our own illustrations or official clips embedded from the broadcasters' YouTube channels.
